Health Disparities Alert! The majority of pregnancy related deaths are preventable. Despite this fact, Black women are 3 to 4 times more likely than White Women to die during childbirth or within one year postpartum from complications.
Every year in February, GNYCBNA nurses join NBNA nursing colleagues and friends from across the nation to advocate for health care policy reform. We meet with legislators and politicians to address key national policies that impact communities of color. We are the voice for our community and patients.

In the history of scientific research, studies have only been conducted on a limited group of the World’s population. ALL of Us is a NIH funded initiative focused on precision medicine to diversify research participants that will inform individualized health care.
